Spore

It has arrived. Spore is now out for Mac. This game is by the creator of Sims, and works under similar principles, but with creatures instead of people. You begin as a tiny creature in water, and then evolve onto land. From there you form a tribe, then migrate onto city stage, and then finally space. Your creature evolves as they progress through the game. There are predators and you can also make friends with other creatures to form a stronger pack. I'm not a hardcore gamer by any means, but this game is fun. It has something for everyone.

The biggest downside to Spore is that it has high system requirements. It only runs on computers with OSX 10.5.3 and requires the Intel Core Duo processor as a minimum. You need at least 1Gb of ram, and a decent graphics card. If you have a macbook with an integrated graphics card than it needs to be the GMA X3100 or higher (which only came out less than a year ago). However, if your computer has what it takes, i highly recommend you come in and grab yourself a copy.
